Florence Brass is a friendly non-contesting brass band. We are very privileged to have the support of Florence Colliery Sports and Social Club and we rehearse in their main Concert Room each Monday,  7.45pm - 9.45 pm.  Bar facilities are available. The Club is situated in Lightwood Road, Longton (in fact on the site of the old Florence Colliery).

The Band plays a number of engagements each year which include Park Bandstand jobs in the summer; Village Fetes and Carnivals; full indoor concerts; Christmas events and Private Functions (Weddings, Christenings etc).

The band plays a wide range of music including traditional brass band, classical, film themes, big band etc.

We always welcome new players both experienced and beginners. Uniforms are provided, and instruments where necessary.
